Abby’s Irish Pub is a staple in my regular rotation, and the wings here never disappoint. I’ve visited many times, and I keep coming back – which says a lot in the crowded Colorado Springs wing scene. Abby’s is owned by the same group behind Red’s Sunset Grill, Atmosphere Gastropub, Back East Bar and Grill, and Red’s American Grill (if I missed one, let me know in the comments).

Before diving into the wings, I have to mention one thing: Abby’s has one of the best chicken tender deals in Colorado Springs. Great quality, great value. If you’re a wing fan, get the tenders tossed in the house hot sauce. A regular turned me on to ordering them tossed in hot sauce with a side of garlic parmesan…stellar. Blue cheese is also solid here. Add wedges, and you’ve got an excellent meal for around $12 (at the time of this review).

Yes, this is a wing review site – but quick side note: fish and chips here are on point. Burgers? They’ve fallen off a bit lately. The patty feels different and not especially memorable anymore, but there are plenty of other standout menu items… like the wings.

Wings Overview
Abby’s delivers a solid, reliable wing every time. When I order extra crispy, I get it about 75% of the time – and even their default wings come out crispy. That alone puts them ahead of a lot of places. You won’t be disappointed here.

Taste & Texture
I ordered the XTRA XTRA crispy wings with a Cajun dry rub and house hot sauce on the side. They do charge $1 for the sauce, and the portion is small, which feels a bit steep – but the sauce is really good, so I’ll give them a pass.

These wings usually come out crispy, and even when they’re not extra crispy, they’re crispy enough. The Cajun dry rub is fine but doesn’t stand out. The hot sauce absolutely makes up for it. It’s a standard buffalo-style sauce, leaning more red-forward than buttery, and clearly their own recipe. It’s pretty damn good.

The meat had a clean pull from the bone and felt like good-quality chicken.

Veggies were fresh and in great shape. I went with blue cheese, which is solid – middle-of-the-road intensity but clearly house-made and well executed.

Price
Wings are $16 for 10, which works out to $1.60 per wing – right in the middle of the Colorado Springs wing pricing spectrum.

X-Factor
The house hot sauce and blue cheese are the standouts here. I still need to try the ranch and will update once I do. Abby’s also shines with some other great dishes – don’t sleep on the fish and chips or broiled fish.

And wedges.
Every. Damn. Time.
